Evidence For Christianity

Documenting The Overwhelming Evidence For The Christian Faith

The Name Of God And The Name Of Jesus In Ancient Hebrew Are Actually Amazing Prophecies!

The more you examine the Bible, the more amazing evidence that you find. The truth is that there is so much evidence for Christianity that it is literally impossible to document it all. In recent years, Bible scholars have been discovering some amazing things about "paleo-Hebrew" - the ancient Hebrew language that was used prior to the Babylonian captivity. In "paleo-Hebrew", each letter was represented by an ideogram. In other words, each letter was also a picture which represented an idea. So in ancient Hebrew when you examine the meaning behind each letter of a particular word it can reveal some very enlightening things.

For example, the name of God in ancient Hebrew actually foreshadows the sacrifice that Yeshua (Jesus) would one day make on the cross. Just check out the following amazing video....

But not only does the name of God in ancient Hebrew contain an amazing prophecy, but the name of Yeshua (Jesus) also contains some truly amazing details....

Isn't all of this amazing?

The truth is that God has revealed the truth about Himself in dozens and dozens of different ways.  If people do not want to acknowledge the truth about God it is not because there is not enough evidence, it is because they simply do not want to believe.

What is the name of God? Jesus or Yeshuah, meaning God (YHWH) is our salvation. YHWH symbolically means behold the hand, behold the nail. We find in the Old Testament that the names of God and His attributes were progressively revealed. A name represented the nature of a person in the times past. Progressively or more and more, God revealed His character to mankind, and it was often expressed by a new name such as the following. Jehovah-Jireh, meaning God our Provider. Jehovah-rapha, which signifies God our Healer. The ancient Hebrew language uses the word Elohiym in place of the English word God. Elohiym as a proper noun indicates the Supreme God, but it could be translated 'gods' as a common noun. The English term, "lord" comes from the Hebrew term "Yehovah," and means "self-existent One." The word "lord" (Greek Kurios) may also refer to a master or one who has the authority. When you combine Yehovah Elohiym, you say Lord God, or Self-existent One God. The word "Christ" (Greek Christos) means the "anointed-one" or "Messiah." When we combine it all together we should confess that the Lord God is Jesus Christ, meaning the anointed and supreme saving God of all.

Salvation is the greatest work God has ever accomplished for humanity. Jesus is the name which encompasses all former revelations of God (since Jehovah or YaHWeH is part of the name), and is the greatest revelation of salvation for the believer. Jesus was the sinless substitution and atoning sacrifice for our sin. He was Immanuel or God with us. He is our Great High Priest. The name of the Savior God was invoked only once in the year by the high priest in atonement for the sins of Israel, after he had sprinkled the mercy seat in the Holy of Holies with the sacrificial blood. And because of the sanctifying work of Jesus Christ, we able now to apply His name (the name of God) once and forevermore to remove all of our sins.

We find that nobody in the New Testament was baptized in the titles "Father, Son and Holy Ghost." They were all baptized "in the name of Jesus Christ." Why? "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved," Acts 4:12. "Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus," Colossians 3:17. Titles are not names. Say the name of God.
