Evidence For Christianity

Documenting The Overwhelming Evidence For The Christian Faith

The Biblical Festivals In The Old Testament Are Actually Prophecies That Contain Amazing Evidence For Christianity

The vast majority of Christians have absolutely no idea that the Biblical festivals in the Old Testament are actually extraordinary prophecies that contain amazing evidence for Christianity.

On our new site, Why God, we have posted an article that goes into great detail about the prophetic details of these holidays. This is material that you will NOT find in any Christian book store, so we encourage all of you to go on over and check it out.

But even though God had His people celebrate holidays of such prophetic importance for centuries and centuries before the coming of Christ, the reality is that very few people ever got it.

The Jews still celebrate the festivals but they never realized that the Biblical festivals were all about Yahshua (Jesus). The Christians tossed the festivals aside and started celebrating pagan holidays such as Easter and Christmas instead.

Oh, you didn't know that Christmas and Easter were pagan?

A spring festival for the fertility goddess involving Easter eggs and bunny rabbits was celebrated all over the world for centuries before Jesus was born.

And December 25th was the birthday of many pagan "gods" long before Jesus came to earth. Almost all of the current Christmas traditions can be directly traced back to pagan practices. In fact, there is nothing about December 25th in the Bible. For those not aware of the pagan origins of Christmas, we would encourage them you to watch this short YouTube video.....

Atheist Government Always Leads To Official Repression Of Christianity

In all of human history, where has liberty and freedom thrived the most?

Under governments that were established on Christian principles.

But right now the reality is that the western world is increasingly drifting towards atheism.

But that is a huge mistake. Just consider many of the examples from the 20th century.

Whenever a government went officially atheist, it almost always meant incredibly brutal repression for Christianity.

Examples include the U.S.S.R., China, Cuba, and almost all of eastern Europe during the Cold War.

Today a very clear example of this repression is in North Korea.

The government of North Korea HATES Christianity and does whatever it can to make sure it is stamped out.

In fact, the government of North Korea recently even sent a threatening fax to a Christian ministry called Voice of the Martyrs.

You see, Voice of the Martyrs has been sending gospel messages to as many fax-linked telephone numbers inside North Korea as they possibly can.

"We know who you are," an English translation of the North Korean fax says. "We warn you that if you send this kind of dirty fax again something very bad will happen to you. Don't do something you will regret."

Todd Nettleton, the director of media development for Voice of the Martyrs saw this fax as a good sign: "This means that (our) faxes are getting through, and they are being read. It is highly unlikely that this type of response would have been made from an embassy without some approval from Pyongyang."

So is this threat likely to intimidate the Voice of the Martyrs?

Not likely.

Voice of the Martyrs recently released a statement on this incident which said this:

"The Christian teaching is clear. Communists are men and Christ loves them. So does every man who has the mind of Christ. We love the sinner even though we hate the sin. We know about the love of Christ toward the Communists by our own love toward them. There are Christians in Communist prisons with fifty pounds of chains on their feet, tortured with redhot iron pokers, in whose throats spoonfuls of salt had been forced, being kept afterward without water, starving, whipped, suffering from cold – and praying with fervor for the Communists. This is humanly inexplicable! It is the love of Christ, which was poured out in our hearts."
